Like others who have stopped eating animals out of a moral obligation, when asking someone to consider that there is no justifiable reason to eat an animal, I  hear the same excuses, ad infinitum.

But one of my all-time favorites is when an urban omnivore points out that they know of, or have heard of, or read about someone who raises and kills their own pigs and uses all the parts of the animal and how beautiful and sacred that is. 

Meanwhile, they’re eating their pork roasts, chops, ribs, ham, and bacon from mostly factory ‘farms’.

This pig didn’t care what you did with him once you shot him in the head or plunged a knife into his throat, just like you or I wouldn’t.

If some psychopath was reassuring you before they violently murdered you that they will be drinking your blood and eating your flesh, and using every bit of your body parts once they skinned you and chopped you up, would you feel reassured?

This photographer took this at a “humane slaughter” class held at a small “local” farm.

It’s about living a compassionate life. Be Daring. Go vegan.
