The local street news weekly reached out and asked if they could do a story on my work with animal rights. (It helped that the writer was vegan and had seen my work with animals.) This is the first time they have ever done a feature story (or likely any coverage) on animal rights activism. This is significant because speciesism is far from being recognized and acknowledged in other social justice movements. We have a long way to go, but this is a step in the right direction! Thank you, Street Roots, for giving animals a voice with this piece!
