img_8784When your neighbors have a surplus of kiwis in the backyard, you get busy. I cleaned out an old ice tray, filled each square with a scooped out kiwi and put them in the freezer. The result was a super duper delish, takes-two-minutes-to-make smoothie!

Ingredients – one smoothie (double or triple, etc. for more portions):

1 frozen banana cut up in chunks 

3-4  frozen kiwi cubes

1 generous tsp almond butter

3/4  cup almond milk

1/2 tsp ground flax meal

Maple syrup – drizzle in for desired sweetness (a little bit goes a long way so start light and you can always add more)

Add all ingredients together in blender, put on ‘smoothie’ setting and blend until desired consistency. Add more, or less, milk depending on how thick you like it. Enjoy!!
