Chalktivism
Chalking is a great way to get people’s attention and plant seeds. The last photo is of my first ‘chalking’ and, even tho I was scared, it was so fun to do. Shoppers were great – very open and supportive. And then a Whole Foods manager came out to tell me it was inappropriate and had two guys scrub and wash it away, lickety split. I asked her, “What’s worse, being publicly ‘inappropriate’ for asking people in Read more…

I like mine with nuts, but you can have them plain or get Read more…
“Humane” Slaughter = Unparalleled Suffering

Video taken by Jocelyn Cole, fellow animal rights activist and co-founder of the Portland chapter of the Animal Save Movement, Portland Animal Save. Be daring. Go vegan. Dani
Krispy Kale Chips
I’ve played with making kale chips for awhile now and here are the 3 keys I have found are most important to get them to come out just right: 1.) Set the oven to a low temp (275 degrees) because the process is more about dehydration, not “cooking” them. 2.) Don’t use too much oil or they will stay soggy and not crisp up, and don’t use too little oil or they could burn easily. 3.) Don’t Read more…
